T+A TR 450

The TR 450 is the little sister (or brother) of the TR 400. The drive units are identical, the crossover units very similar, and the cabinets a little smaller, making the TR 450 the perfect bookshelf speaker, whereas the TR 400 is certainly at home on a speaker stand set up on its own in the listening room. In terms of sound these two superior monitors are as identical as the proverbial peas in a pod - with the sole exception of the deep bass response:

due to the smaller cabinet the bottom limit frequency of the TR 450 is slightly higher. However, this is by no means a drawback when the speaker is set up on a shelf, as this type of installation enhances bass reproduction in any case. All the other sound quality attributes of the TR 400 apply in full to the TR 450. High-quality gold-plated stereo loudspeaker terminals are used on these speakers.
