The AE309 is a slim floorstanding speaker with a 2.5-way configuration, designed for medium to large rooms. It sits above the 100 Series in terms of finish quality and performance, while maintaining a compact footprint.
It features two 130 mm midrange drivers with ceramic aluminium sandwich cones, paired with a long-throw motor system designed to improve sound dispersion and bass reproduction. The 28 mm aluminium dome tweeter is fitted with a Wide Dispersion Technology waveguide, which shapes the acoustic output to blend with the midrange drivers and widen the optimal listening area. The 18 mm high-density MDF cabinet benefits from internal bracing derived from the Reference Series, intended to reduce cabinet coloration, while a slot-shaped port at the rear improves bass output by reducing air turbulence. The speaker's base is pre-loaded with inert mass-loading material and rests on 8 mm floor spikes, enhancing stability and isolating the drivers from floor resonances.
