Description
The AE320 is a slim-format 3-way floorstanding speaker, designed to fit into medium to large rooms without imposing a bulky footprint. It is floor-standing, used solo or in pairs, for full-scale hi-fi listening.
The speaker features three 130 mm bass-midrange drivers with ceramic-aluminium sandwich cones, paired with a 28 mm dome tweeter fitted with a waveguide that shapes the sound dispersion to align it with that of the woofer, thereby widening the optimal listening area within the room. The 18 mm high-density MDF cabinet, braced using a technique derived from the Reference series, limits the sonic colouration typical of cabinets. At the rear, a slot-type port has been developed to reinforce bass performance while reducing air turbulence. The base of the cabinet incorporates an inert mass material combined with 8 mm floor spikes, contributing to the stability of the unit and to the control of cabinet resonances.
With a stated frequency response of 35 Hz to 30 kHz, a sensitivity of 90 dB and a power handling of 200 W into 8 ohms, this floorstander is aimed at listeners seeking precise, dynamic sound in a living room or dedicated listening space, without sacrificing aesthetics for size.

What to check before buying used
With this type of floorstanding speaker, it is worth checking the condition of the surrounds on the three bass-midrange drivers as well as the tweeter, which can stiffen or crack over time.
