Description
The X-i75 Connect is a stereo integrated amplifier from Advance Paris, designed to bring together analogue and digital uses within a single sober and elegant unit. This Connect version pairs the amplifier with the Advance Acoustic X-FTB01 Bluetooth receiver and the Advance WTX Microstream network player, two integrated modules that extend the connection possibilities without adding external boxes.
The unit offers both analogue and digital inputs, allowing a variety of sources to be connected without going through a separate converter or receiver. The so-called "Hi Bias" operating mode adjusts the behaviour of the power stage to make it easier to drive a wide range of speakers on the market, including those known to be more demanding in terms of current.
A universal remote control is supplied as standard with the unit, designed to control all functions from the listening chair without the need for multiple accessories.
This type of amplifier is aimed at a user who wishes to simplify their stereo system by bringing wired sources, Bluetooth streaming and network playback together around a single unit, without sacrificing sound reproduction quality or day-to-day ease of use.
What to check before buying used
The motorised potentiometer deserves a test across its full range to rule out crackling or channel imbalance, while the power stage capacitors, stressed by the Hi Bias mode, are worth checking after several years of use. The integrated X-FTB01 Bluetooth and WTX Microstream network modules must be tested under real conditions, including pairing and streaming, as a fault in their electronics is not always repairable in isolation. A check of the protection relays and the chassis's natural ventilation usefully completes the inspection.
