Description
The Sapphire 250 is an invisible in-wall speaker from Amina, designed to disappear entirely behind a finishing surface, plaster, wood, leather or laminate, while diffusing sound into the room. It belongs to the family of in-wall speakers intended for multi-room audio installations where the aesthetics of the space take precedence over the visible presence of a traditional speaker.
It houses two sound generators, one 19 mm and the other 36 mm, to cover signal reproduction. Its impedance is 4 ohms and its sensitivity 82 dB, two values to take into account when pairing with a suitable amplifier. The frequency response extends from 52 Hz to 20 kHz at -6 dB, and the power handling reaches 50 W continuous for a maximum of 100 W, with a maximum sound pressure level of 99 dB SPL. With a depth of just 31 mm for a weight of 1.3 kg, it fits into thin partitions or ceilings.

What to check before buying used
The in-wall module should be checked for play or cracks in the plaster frame, as an installation cut-out already started can complicate a fresh install. The two sound generators (19 mm and 36 mm) should be tested at low and then high power to detect any hiss, distortion or imbalance between the two transducers. The grille and diaphragm, if painted or coated during a previous finish, must remain flexible, with no build-up of material or delamination likely to affect the frequency response.
