Description
The Krell Vanguard is a stereo integrated amplifier combining a power stage and a Class A preamplifier in a single chassis. It can operate on its own as the heart of a stereo system or be integrated into a home cinema system thanks to its Theater Throughput mode, which allows it to retain all its power and sound quality on the main speakers.
The power stage delivers over 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and over 400 watts into 4 ohms, allowing it to drive demanding speakers in terms of impedance. This power reserve is supported by a 750 VA toroidal transformer and a filtering capacity of 80,000 microfarads, ensuring a stable power supply even under dynamic demand. Two silent, thermostatically controlled fans regulate temperature while keeping the chassis compact.
An optional digital module enhances the unit with USB, HDMI (two inputs and one output), coaxial and optical inputs, as well as audio streaming via Ethernet and Bluetooth aptX. An iOS and Android app then allows wireless control of streaming and the amplifier's settings. The display screen provides access to menus for naming sources or adjusting the gain of each input.

What to check before buying used
