Description

What to check before buying used
The valve topology requires checking the condition of the tubes: micro-cuts, hum or reduced gain indicate a worn set that will need replacing. Test the digital inputs and outputs as well as the headphone jack under load, as loose contacts and crackling are the first signs of wear on this type of unit. Checking the volume potentiometers is also recommended, as scratching or channel cut-out at low levels may indicate ageing tracks.
