Description
The AVM-70 is an audio/video preamplifier processor designed to serve as the nerve centre of a home cinema installation or high-end multimedia room. It handles the decoding and management of audio and video sources before sending them to separate power amplifiers, covering the latest object-based formats.
The processor supports up to 15.2 audio channels, with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced compatibility for extended multichannel sound reproduction. ARC Genesis room correction, paired with a redesigned calibration microphone, automatically adjusts the acoustic response according to the listening environment. On the video side, the unit features 7 HDMI 2.0 inputs and 2 outputs, with eARC for integration with smart TVs, and bandwidth of up to 18.2 Gbps compatible with Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, HDR and Hybrid Log Gamma. On the audio side, maximum output reaches 10.7 VRMS (11 VRMS for the subwoofer), with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 35 kHz (+/- 0.2 dB) and a signal-to-noise ratio of 110 dB. Connectivity also includes AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, WiFi, Chromecast and Spotify Connect.

What to check before buying used
On a preamplifier processor of this complexity, each HDMI input should be tested, along with the eARC function using a compatible TV, to check for any signal dropouts or loss on Ultra HD channels.
