Atacama Cyclone

The Cyclone belongs to Atacama's Moseco range, born from the merging of the Nexus i and Eris series. It is a stand designed for compact bookshelf speakers, whose role is to place the drivers at the correct listening height while decoupling them from the floor and furniture.

The construction combines two materials with different behaviours: a bamboo resin base and a column made from thick steel. The assembly uses high-strength fixings, a choice aimed at keeping the whole unit perfectly rigid and avoiding mechanical play that could colour the sound. The central column is hollow and can be filled with Atabites: this filling increases mass and dampens the structure, with a targeted effect on bass control. A set of four spikes accompanies the feet for floor contact.

Each Moseco can take a load of up to 8 kg, which defines its intended use: compact speakers and monitors of reasonable size, rather than floorstanding speakers or large sealed cabinets. Three heights are offered, at 50 cm, 60 cm and 70 cm, to be chosen according to seated listening position and the tweeter height of the speaker. A Dark Oak finish is also available in the range for those wishing to match the stands to darker furniture.

This model suits a domestic stereo system in which the speakers currently sit on a shelf or piece of furniture, a situation that harms the stability of the soundstage. It is aimed both at listeners keen to refine their acoustic setup and at those seeking a visually crafted stand, the bamboo base contrasting with the purely industrial look of all-metal feet.
