Description
The GT2-HD is a 2-way bass-reflex floorstanding speaker, designed by French manufacturer Atohm using drivers developed and manufactured in-house. It aims for neutral, precise sound reproduction, without marked colouration.
The bass-midrange is handled by two 15 cm drivers referenced LD150CR04, whose design covers the entire bass register up to the upper midrange. The top of the spectrum is entrusted to a 2.7 cm silk dome tweeter, the SD28ND04RD, capable of operating over a wide band between 2000 Hz and 30 kHz. This operating range allows for a precise handover with the bass-midrange drivers. Filtering is first order, with time alignment of the tweeter intended to improve consistency of reproduction between the drive units.
In terms of measurements, the GT2-HD offers a sensitivity of 90 dB / 2.83 V / 1 m and a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, for a peak power handling of 400 W. The crossover frequencies are set at 150 Hz and 2.5 kHz, for a stated frequency response of 40 Hz to 30 kHz.

What to check before buying used
The two 15 cm drivers and the silk dome tweeter deserve careful inspection: flexible surrounds free of cracking or tearing, cones free of dents or signs of oxidation, and a tweeter dome free of deformation. Also check for any play or cracks on the bass-reflex ports, as well as the condition of the cabinet (veneer, corners, presence of protective grilles). A test at moderate volume across the full frequency range will help identify any buzzing or distortion indicating a worn crossover component.
