It combines a C150 DCR 04 bass-midrange woofer with a WSD20 DND 04F tweeter, with a crossover frequency set at 3.5 kHz and a 1st order electrical filter slope accompanied by impedance compensation. This gentle filtering choice aims for natural coherence between the two drivers rather than an abrupt separation of frequencies. What to check before buying used
The suspensions of the C150 woofer deserve careful visual inspection: hardened, cracked or detached foam or rubber results in soft bass and distortion at high volume. Also check the WSD20 tweeter (no crackling, intact diaphragm) as well as the flatness and integrity of the MDF cabinet, whose veneer or satin varnish may show marks over time. Testing both channels at moderate volume helps identify any filtering imbalance between the two units.
