Description
The ZEF Speaker is a speaker cable from the Atohm brand, supplied here pre-terminated as a pair of 2 x 3 metres. Designed to connect an amplifier to the speakers, it is part of the brand's high-end cable range, engineered to limit losses and preserve the quality of the audio signal along the entire length of its path.
Its conductive structure combines a central core of OCC copper, a monocrystalline copper renowned for its purity, with a peripheral strand of 204 silver-plated UC-OFC copper wires. What to check before buying used
At the crimping points of the banana or spade plugs, check for the absence of oxidation or exposed strands, a sign of a cable that has been handled too much. The PVC sheath should remain flexible along its entire length: hardening or cracking indicates ageing or exposure to heat. Also check that the FEP shielding has not been pierced when routed under skirting or pinched by furniture.
