Audeze LCD 4 Z

The LCD-4Z is an open-back circumaural headphone designed by Audeze around its magnetostatic technology, also known as planar magnetic. This type of transducer differs from classic dynamic drivers: it relies on a thin diaphragm carrying an electrical current, placed between magnets, which allows more even control of the diaphragm's movement across its entire surface.

This model incorporates Uniforce diaphragms, described as particularly thin, paired with a dual Fluxor magnet system. This architecture aims to generate a high magnetic flux, which has a direct effect on the transducer's ability to reproduce fast transients and fine dynamic nuances, including in the bass register. The headphones are fitted with a suspended headband made of carbon fibre and leather, a construction intended to distribute the weight of the unit and limit pressure points during long listening sessions.

The earcup housing is made of ebony, a dense wood species used here for its acoustic properties as much as for its aesthetics in the design of the headphone shells. The LCD-4Z is supplied with a specific cable developed to accompany it.
