Audia Flight Flight Three S

The Flight Three S is a stereo integrated amplifier from Audia Flight, an Italian manufacturer whose unit draws on lessons accumulated across the Classic and Strumento series. It combines the preamplifier and power amplifier functions in a single chassis: it therefore forms the heart of a two-channel system, between the sources and the speakers, without requiring an additional link.

Its architecture is dual mono, meaning the two channels are handled by separate sections rather than shared ones: a principle aimed at limiting interaction between the left and right channels. The amplification relies on the brand's proprietary current feedback circuit, paired with an elaborate preamplifier section. The manufacturer claims this combination delivers deep, extended bass and an ample presentation, with good composure in demanding passages.

The mechanical build and interface contribute to the character of the unit. The chassis is rigid and the front panel is machined from a 10 mm aluminium plate, on which the push-button selectors and a large volume knob sit flush. A large blue OLED display indicates the active input, with each input renameable by the user, as well as other functions when in use. An aluminium remote control is included. The unit is entirely made in Italy.

This model is aimed at the listener building a stereo system around a single, durable component, rather than a stack of boxes. The optional USB converter card allows a computer or digital source to be connected, turning it into the entry point for streamed listening, without changing units or adding an external converter. Its build and ergonomics suit it to a fixed installation, where it will remain visible and handled on a daily basis.
