Description
The Angel is an XLR interconnect cable from AudioQuest, designed to provide the analogue connection between two components in a hi-fi system, such as a source and an amplifier. It belongs to the range of interconnect cables intended to preserve the integrity of the audio signal between devices.
Its conductors are made from Solid Perfect Silver (PSS) copper, a silver-plated copper whose perfectly smooth surface aims to limit signal distortion. The XLR connectors also feature silver plating, and the insulation used is a fluoropolymer of the FEP Air Tube type. The cable also incorporates the DBS system, a technology patented by AudioQuest that generates an electrostatic field intended to stabilise and polarise the molecules of the insulation.
The joint between conductors and connectors is made by welding under an electrical current of 8000 amps, with silver plating applied to ensure the electrical continuity of the connection.

What to check before buying used

Also check that the DBS enclosure, if present, has not been removed or damaged, as it is an integral part of the system patented by AudioQuest.
