Description
The Carbon is a USB cable from AudioQuest, designed to connect a computer, a network player or any other digital source to an audio converter (DAC). It is available in several connector configurations, allowing it to be adapted to different equipment: USB A to B, A to C, A to Micro B 2.0, A to Lightning, USB 3.0 A to Micro B 3.0, USB B to C, as well as USB C to C or C to Lightning.
Its conductor is made of Solid 5% Silver, a metal recognised for its signal transmission qualities. The cable also incorporates a dielectric consisting of a carbon-based noise-dissipation system, structured in 3 layers, designed to limit interference that could affect the digital signal. The whole is protected by a braided black and grey sleeve.
This cable is aimed at users wishing to take care of the digital connection in their hi-fi system, particularly between a computer source or network player and an external DAC, in a configuration where the quality of the cabling is seen as a component in its own right within the system.
