AudioQuest Cinnamon 48

The Cinnamon 48 is an HDMI cable designed by AudioQuest to carry both the video signal and eARC audio return between a source and a television or AV receiver. It belongs to the manufacturer's range of "48" HDMI cables, sized to accompany the latest video and gaming uses while remaining compatible with existing 4K equipment.

Its bandwidth can reach 48 Gbps, spread across four balanced audio/video pairs each capable of transferring up to 12 Gbps. This capacity allows video resolutions of up to 10K to be carried, as well as resolution/frame rate combinations of 8K/60 and 4K/120. The conductors are made of 1.25% silver-plated long-grain copper, a construction intended to improve radio-frequency noise dissipation rather than increase raw conductivity. Around the four FRL pairs and the eARC line, metal-layer shielding combined with a high-loss carbon layer (Noise-Dissipation Level 3) is designed to limit interference from Wi-Fi, cellular or satellite networks, which can degrade the performance of an HDMI signal even when properly shielded by traditional methods.

This cable is aimed at those setting up a home cinema installation or a multimedia lounge featuring sources and displays compatible with high-bandwidth HDMI, particularly where eARC audio return is used to send sound from the television to an amplifier or soundbar. It is suitable both for current 4K configurations, with which it remains fully compatible, and for installations geared towards the future evolution of video standards.
