Description
The PowerQuest 707 is a mains power conditioner designed for hifi systems, multichannel home cinema installations and custom setups. It is placed between the mains supply and the audio equipment to filter electrical noise before it reaches the electronics.
It totals 7 AC outlets split into two categories: 3 high-current outlets reserved for amplification equipment and 4 linear-filter outlets for sources. This separation allows the power stages, which draw more current, to be isolated from source equipment that is more sensitive to noise. Noise treatment is linear across a wide bandwidth, and the unit incorporates non-sacrificial surge protection as well as automatic shutdown above 140 VAC. The PQ 707 adds transient power correction, capable of delivering up to 45 amps on demand for 25 ms to power an amplifier during consumption peaks, with low-impedance current useful for dynamic contrast and low-frequency control. A removable 2 m power cable is supplied.
This model is aimed at hifi or home cinema installations featuring a current-demanding amplifier as well as several sources requiring separate power, for those seeking electrical stability and system protection.
