AudioQuest Robin Hood ZERO 72v DBS

The result of the same research work as the Mythical Creatures range, the Folk Hero Series brings together two references, William Tell and Robin Hood, offered with Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ or Solid Perfect-Surface Silver conductors. These models incorporate all the technical solutions developed for the Mythical Creatures, but with a reduced number of conductors.

Building on technologies already validated by AudioQuest, designers Garth Powell and Bill Low tackled a recurring difficulty in speaker cable design: the gap between the amplifier's output impedance and the speaker's load impedance. Eliminating the cable's characteristic impedance, via ZERO technology, significantly reduces current compression as well as distortion related to signal and current transitions. The result is marked dynamic contrast, precise transient response and a bass rendering that feels natural, as the cable no longer introduces an electrical obstacle to the musical signal.

As with the larger-gauge models in the Mythical Creatures range, William Tell and Robin Hood can be used in two configurations: the ZERO version alone for Full Range use, or that same ZERO version combined with a dedicated bass cable, in a fully optimised BiWire Combination configuration. Like the higher-end models, they also incorporate the patented common-mode noise rejection technology. This technology, shared across the entire Mythical Creatures series, offers a level of control and elimination of radio-frequency interference superior to previous generations.
