Description
The Yosemite is an XLR interconnect cable from AudioQuest, intended to connect the components of a high-end hi-fi system together. It belongs to the range of cables designed to preserve the integrity of the audio signal between the source and the amplifier as much as possible.
Its conductors are made of Solid Perfect Surface Copper+ (PSC+), a copper whose surface is treated to be perfectly smooth. The insulation used is an Air Tube-type fluorinated polymer, whose function is to protect the signal from external interference.
The XLR connectors are silver-plated, a treatment applied to guarantee a quality connection between the conductors and the connectors themselves. The junction between these two elements is made by welding using an electrical current of 8000 amperes, a process that ensures optimal electrical continuity at this sensitive point of the cable.
