The AT33 Mono is a cartridge from Audio-Technica, developed specifically for playing mono vinyl records. Unlike a conventional stereo cartridge, it converts into an electrical signal only the horizontal component of the stylus tip's movement within the groove.

The internal cantilever suspension can also stiffen over time, altering the vertical compliance intended to protect stereo grooves in the event of occasional use.
