Audiovector SR 1 Avantgarde

The SR 1 Avantgarde Arreté is a bookshelf speaker from Audiovector, conceived as the most advanced variant of the SR 1 Avantgarde, a model that already sat at the top of the SR 1 range originally. At Audiovector, the Arreté designation refers to a separate category: specialised versions of an existing model, designed to push performance further, in the manner of what AMG, RS or M variants represent among car manufacturers.

The name Arreté comes from an ancient Greek term evoking the ability to accomplish everything to the highest standards. In practical terms, this philosophy translated into an optimisation effort carried out by Ole Klifoth on virtually every aspect of the original speaker: the drivers themselves, the crossover filters, the interaction between the transducers and the cabinet, behaviour with respect to the floor, as well as a cryogenic treatment of certain components. It is from this refinement process that the SR 1 Avantgarde Arreté was born, several years after the model that served as its basis.

This type of speaker is aimed at a listener already familiar with the SR 1 Avantgarde or this level of range, curious to know how far an existing design can be pushed.
