What to check before buying used
Check the operation of the built-in Class D amplification by listening to the bass reproduction across the full volume range, as a fault in this module would result in cutouts, a hum, or a total absence of sound. Inspect the 200 mm driver for tears, sagging, or a hardened suspension, and check the condition of the cabinet as well as the fixing of the original stand or feet. Also test the rear panel controls (level, filter, phase) to rule out any crackling potentiometer or loose contact.
