Description
The CCM 7.5 S2 is a ceiling-mounted speaker from B&W, positioned as an entry-level model within the CI 700 series. Designed for invisible installation, it fits into a false ceiling and allows sound to be diffused without encroaching on living space, whether for background music or to complement a home cinema system.
It features a 150 mm woofer/midrange driver with a Kevlar diaphragm, mounted in a rigid moulded chassis. This type of diaphragm, known for its lightness and rigidity, promotes precise reproduction of midrange and bass frequencies. The top end of the sound spectrum is handled by a 25 mm soft dome tweeter benefiting from Nautilus tube loading, a technology that limits internal resonances within the tweeter to refine treble rendering.
The baffle is made from reinforced ABS, a material chosen for its rigidity, and the area surrounding the tweeter features a specific recess designed to improve dispersion and sound precision in the treble.
