B&W CCM8.5D

The CCM8.5D is a two-way ceiling speaker from B&W, designed for discreet integration while aiming for high sound performance despite its compact format. It is installed flush into the ceiling and complements a home cinema setup or multiroom distribution without taking up any floor space.

The tweeter uses a 25 mm Diamond dome, decoupled from the rest of the chassis. Diamond, a material that is both light and rigid, allows high frequencies to be reproduced with great purity and limited distortion. The 180 mm midrange/woofer, meanwhile, uses a Continuum cone, designed to deliver a precise midrange and tight bass even in this compact format.

A distinctive feature of this speaker is that both drivers are mounted on a small swivelling baffle. This mechanism allows the tweeter and midrange/woofer to be precisely aimed at the listening area, a valuable feature when the speaker cannot be positioned exactly above the listening point.
