The CWM 7.5 S2 is an in-wall speaker from B&W, positioned as the entry-level model within the CI700 series. Designed for concealed installation within a wall, it is aimed at those seeking discreet sound reproduction, with no visible cabinet or speaker in the room.
It features a 130 mm woofer/midrange driver mounted in a rigid moulded chassis, paired with a 25 mm soft dome tweeter benefiting from Nautilus-type tube loading. This loading arrangement, inherited from the brand's high-end speakers, aims to reduce internal resonances in the tweeter for cleaner treble reproduction. The reinforced ABS baffle contributes to overall rigidity, while the Flowport venting system is designed to promote sharper attack and purer bass. The crossovers use components from Mundorf, well known in audio filtering.
This compact model suits integration into a living room, kitchen or living space where aesthetics take priority, for supplementary listening or as a complement to a multichannel home cinema system. As the smallest of the three speakers in the CI700 series, it is better suited to modest volumes or secondary use rather than demanding main listening in a large room.
What to check before buying used
