Description
The Bada LB-5600 is a high-performance mains filter designed for the European version of the electrical network, fitted with 6 Schuko sockets. It is intended to power an audio system or a set of electronic devices by supplying them with filtered power, with the aim of limiting disturbances originating from the domestic mains network.
Each Schuko socket can be plugged in either direction, which allows the phase of each connected device to be respected. The filtering is based on a CLC network combining toroidal-wound inductors with an air gap and WIMA MKP capacitors, with this filtering present on 5 of the 6 available sockets. The internal wiring uses monocrystal OCC copper conductors, a choice aimed at limiting losses and distortion caused by the wiring itself.
The LB-5600 incorporates a main circuit breaker for surge protection, with a reset switch accessible on the rear panel. The mains cable is detachable, connected via a 3-pin IEC inlet, allowing it to be replaced or customised. On the front panel, a blue backlit needle voltmeter allows the supplied voltage to be monitored. The metal chassis is topped with a thick black plexiglass plate.

What to check before buying used
The backlit needle voltmeter should be checked for correct operation, as should the circuit breaker's reset switch on the rear panel, which can sometimes become stiff or inoperative after years of use. Also check the condition of the IEC inlet and the detachable mains cable, as well as the secure fit of the 6 Schuko sockets in their housings. The plexiglass plate on the front panel may show micro-scratches or yellowing depending on its exposure to light.
