The Sonos Ray is a compact soundbar designed to improve the sound of television, music and video games. Its reduced size makes it suitable for installation in an enclosed space, particularly a TV cabinet niche, where its forward-facing acoustic architecture retains its full effectiveness.
It features two centrally positioned tweeters to deliver clear dialogue, paired with two midrange/woofer speakers and driven by four digital amplifiers. Bass and treble adjustments are made via the Sonos app, and two dedicated DSP modes, night and speech, allow the sound to be tailored to the time of day or the type of content being watched.
The system can be controlled via the TV remote, the Sonos app or Apple AirPlay 2. Installation is limited to plugging in two cables. The soundbar can also evolve over time: it is possible to add speakers to build a surround and multiroom system.
This model is aimed at those looking for a simple audio solution for the television, without multiplying equipment, while retaining the possibility of expanding their Sonos setup later on.
