The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay A1 is a cylindrical portable Bluetooth speaker, featuring an aluminium shell and a perforated grille. Designed for nomadic use, it projects sound 360° around itself, with no preferred listening direction.
The acoustic configuration relies on two ways: a 3.5-inch woofer-midrange driver and a 3/4-inch tweeter, each powered by a 30 W Class D amplifier, with a peak of up to 140 W per way. This architecture covers a frequency range of 60 Hz to 24 kHz, allowing both bass and treble to be reproduced without an external amplifier. Bluetooth 4.2 handles the wireless connection and includes a built-in microphone for taking calls directly from the speaker.
