WBT 0735 Speaker Terminal
WBT 0735 speaker terminal, fully insulated in Makrolon, CE and IEC compliant, intended for the repair or upgrade of loudspeakers.
Description
The WBT 0735 is a terminal intended for connecting speaker cables to a loudspeaker. It is a spare part, used both to replace a faulty connector and to equip a loudspeaker building project.
This model is part of WBT's Safety Line and is distinguished by complete Makrolon insulation, a material that fully encases the connector. This construction allows it to comply with CE and IEC standards, a point that differentiates it from the WBT-0730.01 reference, of which it is the certified variant.
This terminal is aimed at hi-fi enthusiasts who build or repair their own speakers, as well as technicians and repair workshops looking for a replacement part that meets European regulatory requirements for electrical safety.
What to check before buying used
The insulating Makrolon can crack if the terminal has been over-tightened or subjected to an impact, which compromises the electrical seal specific to this Safety Line. Check that the knob turns freely without play or sticking and that the internal clamping cage is not deformed. A visual check of the thread and contacts, often oxidised on a part that has long fitted a loudspeaker, prevents poor contacts once the terminal has been reassembled.
