Description
The Cabasse Archipel 17 ICD is an in-wall/in-ceiling speaker intended to be installed directly into a wall or ceiling. Its very slim format allows it to be fitted without requiring special work or a dedicated volume for low-frequency reproduction.
With a total depth of less than 10 cm, it integrates discreetly into partitions or ceilings without major construction constraints. Its power handling is 40 watts continuous and 320 watts peak, a level that makes it compatible with most amplifiers on the market without particular current requirements.

What to check before buying used
On an in-wall speaker, the critical point remains the seal of the frame and the fixing of the clamping tabs against the partition: play or misalignment encourages vibration and unwanted resonance. Check the condition of the grille and its fabric (deformation, discolouration, traces of paint from a previous installation), as well as the absence of cracks in the plastic chassis, which could compromise the loading volume of the drivers. A test at moderate volume ensures no crackling or distortion appears in the midrange or bass.
