Description
The Siltech Classic Anniversary 330i is an interconnect cable designed to connect two audio devices via XLR or RCA connectors. It belongs to the Dutch manufacturer's Classic Anniversary range, recognised for its work on conductor alloys and insulators used in signal connections.
The conductor is made from G7 silver-gold alloy, a combination of silver and gold specific to high-end Siltech cables. The insulation combines several materials, EPTFE, polyimide, air, FEP and E-Silicon, a layering intended to limit interactions between the conductor and its dielectric environment. The construction is of the Dual Balanced Coaxial type, a balanced dual-coaxial architecture designed to preserve signal integrity along the entire length of the cable.
This cable is aimed at hi-fi systems where the connection between sources and amplification, or between preamplifier and power stage, plays an identified role in sound reproduction. The choice between RCA or XLR connectors allows it to be integrated into either a classic unbalanced configuration or a professional or audiophile balanced chain.

What to check before buying used
The RCA or XLR connectors deserve close inspection: oxidised pins or barrels, play in the shielding or fatigued solder joints indicate an example that has been handled too much. Also check the outer sheath along its entire length, looking for pronounced kinks, cuts or wear at flex points near the plugs, which could compromise the E-Silicon insulation and signal stability. A continuity test checking for the absence of micro-breaks remains the best way to ensure the Dual Balanced Coaxial construction has not been affected.
