What to check before buying used
With this type of cable, the key thing to check is the banana plugs: make sure they are not oxidised or loose and that the crimp on the HPOFC copper conductor remains firm, with no exposed wire visible. Also examine the sheath and the Iso Fiber along the entire length, looking for pinching, cuts or crush marks that would indicate storage coiled too tightly. A continuity test at both ends will also rule out any risk of internal breakage of the P2DCC dielectric that is invisible to the eye.
