Description
The Minibass is a subwoofer designed by Podspeakers to accompany the brand's small speakers, notably the Micropod SE and the Minipod. It fills in the low frequencies that these compact speakers, due to their size, cannot reproduce on their own, thus completing a hi-fi system designed to take up little space.
This model is presented as the successor to the Bass Station, a subwoofer already offered by Podspeakers. It carries forward the same philosophy while aiming for a successful integration with the range's satellite speakers, with the goal of sonic coherence between the low end and the rest of the spectrum.
The Minibass is aimed at users already equipped with compact Podspeakers speakers, in particular the Micropod SE or the Minipod, who wish to enrich their system with extra bass without disrupting the overall footprint of their setup. It suits listening in a living room or office where visual discretion takes priority over the traditional size of subwoofers.
What to check before buying used
When buying used, it is advisable to check the condition of the woofer and its suspension, which can loosen or crack over time, as well as the proper functioning of the built-in amplification if the subwoofer is active. Checking the connections and the power cable also helps ensure there is no crackling or cutting out during use.
