Description
The Pulse Sub+ is a wireless subwoofer designed by Bluesound to complement a system of speakers, amplifiers or streamers from the same brand. Its compact format allows it to be placed beside, behind or under a piece of furniture, while still delivering deep bass without requiring an imposing dedicated spot.
The subwoofer houses an 8-inch woofer paired with a DSP amplifier that delivers 150 watts. This combination aims to reproduce detailed bass without distortion, even within a reduced-size cabinet. Wireless connectivity removes the need for cabling to the amplifier or speakers, which simplifies installation and allows great freedom of placement within the room.
The subwoofer can be positioned vertically or horizontally, which makes it easier to fit into tight spaces where a conventional subwoofer would struggle to find a place.
Setup is done via the BluOS app, which allows the Pulse Sub+ to be paired with the rest of the Bluesound ecosystem and lets you adjust volume and crossover directly from the app, without any physical handling of the unit.

Also check the condition of the 8-inch woofer: the surround should be supple, with no cracking or excessive play to the touch. Finally, inspect the cabinet and its feet or wall/vertical mounting fixings, as well as the power supply, often the first part to fail on this type of unit.
