Description
The L/R M form a pair of connected active speakers, designed to replace a complete hi-fi system with a single compact set. Each speaker integrates amplification, connectivity and network streaming, allowing it to be used as the central point of a living room installation without separate electronics.
The acoustic section pairs a 28 mm aluminium tweeter with two 4-inch woofers and two 4.75-inch passive radiators positioned on the sides, for a stated frequency response of 40 Hz to 24 kHz (+/-3 dB). Output power reaches 2x150 W, shared across the two speakers which communicate with each other via a USB-C link. The StreamMagic Gen 4 module handles high-resolution network streaming, with support for Spotify, Qobuz, TIDAL, Amazon Music, Roon, Google Cast, AirPlay 2, UPnP and internet radio, via wired Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi 5. Physical connectivity includes an MM phono input, an Aux RCA input, a USB-C audio input, a TOSLINK optical input, an HDMI eARC input and a subwoofer output, alongside Bluetooth SBC/AAC and the DynamEQ function with Normal, Video and Voice equalisation modes controllable from the StreamMagic app.
This system is aimed at those wanting a single hi-fi setup covering streaming, television and turntable use, without multiplying devices. The presence of an MM phono input and an HDMI eARC input makes it a solution suited both to listening to records and to television sound, in a living room or office where space needs to remain limited.

What to check before buying used
With this type of connected active speaker, it is worth checking that the Wi-Fi module and network recognition work correctly via the StreamMagic app, as well as the stability of the USB-C link between the two speakers. Also check the effective operation of the MM phono input, the HDMI eARC input and the subwoofer output, as these connection points see more use than standard analogue inputs. Testing both channels at high volume helps confirm the condition of the woofers and passive radiators.
