The Epikore 3 is a 3-way bookshelf speaker from the Dali brand, designed for compact listening spaces. It incorporates technical elements from the manufacturer's Epicon and Kore ranges, adapted to a smaller stand-mounted format.
Its architecture combines a 7-inch (17.7 cm) midrange/woofer driver with a wood fibre cone to a hybrid EVO-K tweeter module, itself made up of a 35 mm soft dome and a 10 x 55 mm ribbon tweeter. This combination of two transducers on the high frequencies allows the work to be shared between the dome and the ribbon element, the latter being associated with wide sound dispersion. The woofer/midrange driver incorporates SMC technology, a magnetic system aimed at reducing distortion, along with a treated cone to limit unwanted resonances. The frequency response extends from 42 Hz to 34 kHz, with crossover frequencies set at 2800 Hz and 12500 Hz between the three drive units. The 85 dB sensitivity and 6 ohm impedance call for the use of an amplifier capable of delivering sufficient power, with a recommended range of 40 to 250 watts, for a maximum sound pressure level of 108 dB. The bass-reflex loading relies on a rear port with continuous flare, intended to sharpen the rendering of low frequencies.

What to check before buying used
When buying used, it is worth checking the condition of the real wood veneer and piano lacquer of the cabinet, which are prone to scratches and chipping on the curved edges.
