Description
The Fazon LCR is a compact satellite speaker from Dali, designed to blend into an interior without imposing itself visually. Its versatility allows it to fulfil several roles: part of a stereo pair, front or rear satellite in a home cinema system, or even a centre speaker placed below or above a screen.
The moulded aluminium cabinet features curved, organic lines, with no parallel surfaces. This construction choice limits internal reflections and standing waves, while providing structural rigidity that reduces unwanted cabinet vibrations. The acoustic set-up pairs two 11 cm woofer drivers with a paper cone reinforced with wood fibres, a technology already used by Dali on its Mentor and Ikon ranges, with a 2.8 cm textile dome tweeter fitted with a neodymium magnet. The crossover frequency between the two drivers is set at 3 kHz, and the frequency response extends from 78 Hz to 25 kHz. With a sensitivity of 89 dB (1W/1m) and a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, it accepts amplifiers with a recommended power output between 20 W and 120 W, for a maximum sound level of 107 dB.
This satellite format is aimed at those who want a discreet speaker, capable of fitting into a multichannel home cinema set-up or forming a small stereo pair in a living room where space must remain limited. Its light weight (3.6 kg) and compact dimensions (380 x 157 x 100 mm) make it easy to place on furniture, wall-mount, or set on a stand.

What to check before buying used
When buying used, it is worth checking the condition of the magnetic cover originally supplied with models in the Fazon range, as it is often lost or replaced over time. A visual check of the woofer cone and tweeter dome allows for detection of any deformation or indentation marks caused by poor transport or prolonged exposure to humidity. It is also useful to test the speaker at moderate and then higher volume to detect any unwanted noise or loss of definition in the upper frequencies, which may indicate tweeter wear or fatigued internal wiring.
