Dali IO-8

The Dali IO-8 is a closed-back, circumaural, wireless headphone designed by the Danish Hi-Fi speaker manufacturer Dali. It applies the design principles of the brand's full-size speakers to a portable format, with the aim of delivering faithful sound reproduction on the move, including in noisy environments thanks to its active noise cancellation function.

The headphones are built around 50 mm dynamic drivers with free-edge paper fibre cones, paired with a fully bridged Class D output stage. The stated frequency range extends from 10 Hz to 43 kHz, a wide range that exceeds the human audible spectrum and aims to preserve detail across the entire signal. Sensitivity varies depending on the mode of use: 93 dB SPL in passive mode (1 mW at 1 kHz) and 94 dB SPL in active mode (200 mV rms at 1 kHz), with an impedance of 25 Ohms in passive mode. The headphones support 16-24 bit audio and communicate via Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive and AAC codecs, over a transmission distance of 10 m. They also feature a wind noise suppression system and an updated Clear Voice Communication hands-free calling technology, compatible with Google Assistant and Apple Siri voice assistants.

Two sound modes, "Hi-Fi" and "Bass", allow the reproduction to be adjusted according to the listener's preferences or the type of music being played.
