What to check before buying used
Check the condition of the suspension on the wood fibre and paper midrange/woofer: sagging, tearing or excessive stiffness affects the bass performance and may require reconditioning. Inspect the 26 mm soft dome tweeter, which is prone to dents and fingerprints. Also examine the cabinet and veneer at the corners as well as the Dual Flare port grille, and listen at moderate volume to detect any unwanted noise or distortion.
