Dali Oberon 7

The Dali Oberon 7 is a two-way floorstanding speaker designed for hi-fi and home cinema systems. It features two 7-inch drivers made from wood fibre-reinforced paper pulp, paired with an ultra-lightweight 29 mm soft dome tweeter, all housed in a bass-reflex loaded cabinet.

The driver motor is built around Dali's SMC technology, which aims to limit the negative effects of the magnet's ferrite core. This design reduces mechanical distortion and, consequently, third-order distortion, resulting in more natural midrange and detail retrieval even at low volumes. The cone, mounted on a low-loss suspension and a die-cast aluminium basket, is designed to remain rigid and lightweight while offering good responsiveness.

In terms of performance, the Oberon 7 offers a sensitivity of 88.5 dB (1 W / 1 m), a nominal impedance of 6 ohms and a maximum sound pressure level of 110 dB. Its frequency response spans from 36 Hz to 26 kHz, with bass-reflex tuning at 39.5 Hz and a crossover frequency between the woofers and tweeter set at 2.3 kHz. It accepts amplification between 30 W and 180 W.

With dimensions of 200 x 1015 x 340 mm and a weight of 14.8 kg, this floorstanding speaker is suited to large listening rooms capable of accommodating deep bass without the low end overwhelming the space. Its integrated aluminium base and organic fabric-covered front baffle with rounded edges blend easily into contemporary interiors, whether for a two-channel hi-fi system or a home cinema setup.
