Description
The Dali Phantom E-50 is an in-wall/in-ceiling speaker designed to be built into a wall or ceiling, with an Open Back mounting type. Its compact format allows for discreet installation, suited to home cinema systems or multiroom configurations where the speaker needs to remain visually unobtrusive.
It combines a 28 mm centred textile dome tweeter with a 133 mm woofer with a polypropylene cone. The crossover between the two ways operates at 3600 Hz. The frequency response ranges from 58 Hz to 25 kHz, with a sensitivity of 87 dB and a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms. The power handling is between 40 and 120 W, for a maximum sound pressure level of 104 dB.

What to check before buying used
On this open-back in-ceiling/in-wall model, check the condition of the 133 mm woofer: the polypropylene cone must be free of any deformation or signs of denting, and the surround must show no cracks or abnormal stiffness. Also check the 28 mm textile tweeter dome, which is prone to perforation if handled without a protective grille. Finally, inspect the cut-out and the mounting clips, which can become weakened when removed from their original installation.
