What to check before buying used
The suspension of the two wood fibre midrange/woofer drivers should remain supple and free of cracks or detached areas, particularly after prolonged storage in variable humidity. The magnetic front grille warrants inspection: its magnets can sometimes lose their grip, causing the grille to come loose or vibrate. Also check the metal in-wall frame, which can become deformed or warped during removal, as well as the condition of the rear connection terminals, which are prone to oxidation.
