Dali Sonik On-Wall

The Sonik On-Wall is a 2-way on-wall speaker sold in pairs, designed to be fixed directly to the wall via its integrated bracket, in either vertical or horizontal installation. Its slim profile allows it to blend discreetly into a room while taking part in a stereo or surround system, or as a supplementary solution in a limited space.

Each speaker combines a 29 mm textile dome tweeter with a 13.3 cm (5¼ inch) woofer featuring a Clarity Cone diaphragm made of paper and wood fibres. This diaphragm, inspired by DALI KORE technology, aims for a good compromise between lightness and rigidity to limit unwanted resonances and ensure a more natural transition between the bass-midrange and the treble. The driver motor also incorporates SMC magnetic material, intended to reduce distortion and improve linearity by limiting hysteresis and eddy currents in the operating zone of the voice coil.

The speaker uses bass-reflex loading, with a downward-facing rear port that rests on the wall surface to help tune the low frequencies. The cabinet is reinforced with MDF. In terms of stated performance, the frequency response spans 55 Hz to 26 kHz (+/- 3 dB), with a sensitivity of 87 dB/W/m and a nominal impedance of 6 ohms; maximum sound level reaches 107 dB, with a crossover frequency of 2.4 kHz. The recommended amplification power ranges from 25 to 100 W.

This speaker is aimed at those who wish to set up a stereo or home cinema system without floor-standing furniture, in a compact living room or a room where available space is limited. Its recommended amplification power, between 25 and 100 W, suits it to amplifiers or receivers of modest to moderate power rather than to very demanding installations.
