The Denon Home 600 is a standalone wireless connected speaker, designed to deliver three-dimensional sound through support for Dolby Atmos Music. It integrates with the HEOS ecosystem, which allows music to be streamed from various services and the device to be controlled from a dedicated app, either on its own or as part of a multiroom network with other Denon speakers.
Its architecture is built around a set of eight drivers, each paired with its own Class D amplifier for independent signal control. It features two 19 mm tweeters, two 66 mm midranges, two 66 mm upward-firing drivers dedicated to the Atmos effect, as well as two 165 mm woofers handling the bass. This three-way sealed-enclosure configuration aims for a detailed rendering and a wider soundstage, with the ability to adjust treble and bass via dedicated tone controls.
Connectivity covers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and AirPlay 2, with compatibility for Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect and Roon Ready certification. A built-in, disableable microphone allows voice control via Siri. Two Home 600 speakers can also be wirelessly linked to form a stereo pair.
This model is aimed at those who want a single speaker capable of delivering immersive sound without a full home cinema setup, or to complement an existing Denon multiroom configuration. Its size and weight of 8 kg make it better suited to placement on furniture than portable use.

What to check before buying used
Test each speaker individually over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to rule out any HEOS connection issues, the function most prone to faults on heavily used units. Also check that the microphone mutes correctly via the dedicated control and that no crackling or distortion appears in the bass at high volume, a sign of wear in the 165 mm woofers. Finally, inspect the grille and fabric covering, which are prone to fingerprints and grime build-up.
