Dynaudio Contour Legacy

The Contour Legacy is part of the Dynaudio Heritage collection. Finished in a chocolate brown American walnut veneer, it retains the brand's modern and classic aesthetic, hand-assembled in Denmark, while incorporating a generation of technology entirely renewed compared to the previous Contour model. The original drivers and electronics have been replaced with components of similar appearance but with markedly superior sound performance.

This speaker revisits several iconic elements of Dynaudio's expertise: woofers derived from the Evidence Platinum modified, the Esotar 3 tweeter and a crossover designed as a craftsman's piece in its own right. The two Evidence Platinum woofers have been mounted in parallel: the lower driver increases the sensitivity of the one placed above it, so that the latter handles midrange and bass while the lower woofer is limited to bass. This configuration required the development of an acoustic coil with higher impedance. As no existing crossover could manage this particular arrangement, a crossover was specifically designed, incorporating capacitors and connecting cables from Duelund, Mundorf and Van den Hul, among other renowned European manufacturers. The whole is completed by the Esotar 3 tweeter.
