The Evoke 25C is a centre speaker designed to integrate into a home cinema system, complementing other models in Dynaudio's Evoke range. It handles the reproduction of dialogue and central effects in a soundtrack, in tonal coherence with the associated stereo or surround speakers.
Its 2.5-way bass-reflex design is built around a 28 mm Cerotar tweeter with a Ferrite+ magnet and Hexis dome, paired with two 140 mm woofers featuring MSP cones, 38 mm aluminium voice coils and Nomex suspensions. The MSP material, used by Dynaudio since the brand's early days, combines lightness, rigidity and damping to deliver precise bass and detailed midrange. With a frequency response of 50 Hz to 23 kHz (+/- 3 dB), an impedance of 4 ohms and a sensitivity of 88 dB, it can handle a power input of 200 watts IEC.

What to check before buying used
On a centre speaker of this type, it is worth checking the condition of the Nomex suspensions on both woofers, which can stiffen or crack over time and affect bass performance. The Hexis dome of the Cerotar tweeter also deserves a visual inspection for any deformation or indentation. A test at moderate then gradually increasing volume allows you to identify any unwanted noise or distortion on either of the two mid/bass drivers.
