Description
The Dynaudio Forty is a two-way bookshelf speaker operating in a bass-reflex enclosure. It combines a soft dome tweeter and a woofer/midrange driver in a cabinet offered here in an Ebony Wave High Gloss finish.
The 28 mm Esotar Forty tweeter handles the high frequencies, while the 17 cm MSP woofer/midrange, made from magnesium silicate polymer according to a design specific to Dynaudio, takes care of the low end and midrange. The crossover separating the two ways is first order, with a crossover frequency set at 2 kHz, a configuration that limits the number of components in the signal path. Frequency response is stated as 41 Hz to 23 kHz at ± 3 dB, with a sensitivity of 86 dB and a nominal impedance of 6 Ω, for a maximum power handling of 200 W.
