Description
The Dynaudio Legend is a compact two-way bookshelf speaker, designed and hand-built. It is based on a bass-reflex architecture with rear porting, with a 28 mm Esotar 3 tweeter and a 15 cm woofer with MSP cone, for balanced sound reproduction in a reduced volume.
The Esotar 3 tweeter with Hexis dome handles the high frequencies, while the 15 cm midrange/woofer driver covers the rest of the spectrum, with a crossover frequency set at 3,500 Hz and a 2nd order crossover filter. The frequency response extends from 60 Hz to 28 kHz (±3 dB), providing wide coverage despite the speaker's compact format. Its sensitivity of 83 dB (2.83 V / 1 m) and nominal impedance of 6 ohms call for an amplifier capable of delivering sufficient power to make full use of it; the long-term IEC power handling is 150 W. The rear-mounted bass-reflex port contributes to the bass extension.
With dimensions of 186 × 311 × 271 mm and a weight of 6.3 kg per speaker, the Legend is aimed at those looking for a bookshelf speaker suited to a small or medium-sized system, paired with a hi-fi amplifier or a network player, without an additional subwoofer in many configurations.

What to check before buying used
When buying used, it is advisable to check the condition of the woofer and its suspension, as well as the integrity of the Esotar 3 tweeter dome, which is particularly sensitive to impact and dust. Checking the connection terminals (WBT NextGen type depending on the source) and the rear bass-reflex port also helps to confirm there is no distortion of the cabinet or play in the internal crossover.
