Description
The B-Sharp is a belt-drive turntable, manually operated, designed by EAT (European Audio Team). It plays 33 and 45 rpm records, with speed change handled manually by the user.
Its floating chassis rests on a high-density MDF base, paired with an aluminium platter: this construction aims to limit the transmission of vibrations to the cartridge. The motor, of proprietary design, is stated to be low-noise, contributing to a mechanical signal-to-noise ratio of -40 dB and an electrical one of -68 dB. The turntable also offers anti-skating adjustment as well as adjustments for vertical tracking angle (VTA), stylus rake angle (SRA), tracking force (VTF), azimuth and offset angle, allowing fine customisation of the tracking geometry.
The B-Sharp comes with a dust cover, an aluminium record clamp and a platter mat. It can optionally be fitted with an Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge.

What to check before buying used
The drive belt is worth checking: on this type of turntable, it can stretch or crack over time, affecting speed stability. Also check the levelling via the adjustable feet and the proper support of the floating chassis, whose thermoplastic elastomer suspension can lose elasticity over time. If the Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge is present, examine the condition of the stylus tip and its wear before any prolonged listening.
